"I'm Ana María Fernández Fajri and I was born in Huánuco on February 7, 1954. I learned my art in painting classes, and in workshops in jewelry crafting and art glass. This work is so gratifying. I've dedicated my time to it since 2002. Above all, I want women to feel pretty with our jewelry and this is my motivation. And so I try to transmit a sensation of beauty, well-being and happiness.
"I began my work with art glass jewelry. I feel such joy and satisfaction when I see someone wearing one of our designs," Ana María confides.
"I'm Fiorella Fernández Orna, born in Lima on June 1, 1981," Ana María's niece says. "I studied business administration at the University of Lima. During a course on investments, I was assigned to a workshop crafting silver jewelry. In 2002, I began to design and fashion jewelry. I'd wear my own creations, and those of Aunt Ana María, and my friends would literally take them off me. I ended up selling them, and this was while I was still in college.
"My aunt and I set out on this path of jewelry crafting together. At first it was just a hobby, but we realized that this was really our world. We found that we couldn't stop creating new pieces. Our jewelry is friendly and romantic. Sometimes a simple ray of sunlight in the morning becomes the inspiration for a design.
"For both of us, our main source of inspiration and our greatest motivation is our children."
