"Hello, my name is Aarti and I come from the beautiful town Karnal, in the state of Haryana. Coming from a very traditional family, I have learned the values of family, culture and tradition yet I am very open to new ideas and new trends.

"I am very passionate and dedicated about my work, this is what my friends tells me. They say that art and craft is something I was born to do.

"I got into jewelry only after my marriage to my husband Vinay, who is an experienced jewelry maker. Somehow, the bright and charming colors of gemstones always attracted me. The whole process of crafting a piece of metal into an alluring piece of art has always enchanted me.

"Slowly, I got into designing jewelry and today I am so proud to say that most of the designs that we make are mine! But this has been possible only through the ardent support and dedication of my husband who taught me. Because my husband is mostly busy in the crafting part, I do all the designing part – the final product that you see gives me ample joy!

"Gemstone jewelry has been an important part of our country's traditional outfits. This is an art form that has been practiced since the times of maharajahs, and they are equally liked by younger generations, preserving this tradition.

"We specialize in sterling silver with semi-precious gemstone, as well as vermeil jewelry. The nicest part about my designs is that they are very pretty and comfortable for everyday use. However, at times it is really challenging to keep pace with the ever changing fashion trends, but I certainly look up to this challenge as it gives me new opportunities to learn and design more.

"Most of my designs are inspired from natural shapes such as flowers and fruits. I also take inspiration from modern and abstract engineering, which are a part of our daily life. Some of my designs also have are influenced by our Indian traditional jewelry.

"Being in the world of jewelry has been a wonderful journey for me so far. I hope I will keep designing with more and more dedication and get appreciated by everyone, especially by Novica customers. In fact I believe that I am lucky to have found this platform called Novica which has given me an opportunity to express myself to the whole world through my designs.

"In future, I really want to start a design workshop for jewelry. I want to impart the rich skill that I have learned over the years, to my friends and whoever wishes to learn."
