Rosa Higa

"I was born on October 15, 1962 in Callao province. I did secretarial studies and when I graduated, I began to work in a jewelry shop. It was so exciting to be near so many beautiful things! After a while, I changed jobs, then I got married, and when I had my first child, I opted for staying at home.

"I've always enjoyed crafting things, even as a kid, and I have kept this beautiful art in my hands. I have to provide for my children, so I began to delve into different things. I wanted to try something more, so I enrolled in a jewelry course.

"Now I am fully dedicated to this art, which gives me a great sense of satisfaction. It is a wonderful feeling to see how you take your first step in preparing a piece of jewelry and eventually seeing it finished.

"I try to transmit a sense of harmony when I design a piece, whether it's through the contrast of gemstone colors, or through the silver alone. Creativity is what motivates me to design different things. Each new dawn brings a new idea.

"I am dedicated to my work so you may have a jewelry item of high quality that is filled with happiness – the same happiness I felt while creating it."
