"My name is Claudia Cota, and I was born Mexico City. I have always liked art, and for that reason I graduated in architecture from IberoAmericana University.
"In 1992 I opened my silver workshop in Taxco, and ever since then, silver has become my best friend. I went on and little by little my workshop became bigger and bigger, and in 1998 I started going to exhibitions and fairs all over the world. We have won many awards ever since.
"As an architect, I love art and sculpture, and all of my designs are based on that. My inspiration comes from many famous artists like Picasso, as well as other art deco sculptors.
"I teach silversmith classes during the weekends. I set up a silversmith school at my workshop, where we organize courses for anyone interested in working on their own designs. Actually, my dream for the future is to strengthen this school and collaborate with two universities in Mexico.
"I have been working with some talented silversmiths from the moment I set up my workshop in Taxco, including Don Francisco, Ivan Artiaga Estrada, and Germán Estrada. They are great people with a remarkable talent. I learnt a lot form them, and now they help me with the school. We always work together to create new pieces.
"I am very happy with my life so far, I like my team and I like to teach what I know. I hope everything will go on happily, and I hope Novica clients will love my jewelry collections."
