Komang Wirawan

Born on March 3, 1974 in the Gianyar Regency, Komang Wirawan is the youngest of three children. At first Wirawan did not show any interest in the creation of silver jewelry and instead learned to carve wood. It was in Secondary School where he eventually became drawn to the creation of fine silver jewelry.

Due to harsh economic circumstances, Wirawan worked after school in order to be able to pay for school tuition and whatever else he needed for his studies. He walked far everyday to Celuk, a village renowned for its silver and gold jewelry and where he began to acquire the elements of his craft. Wirawan worked hard every day, sometimes for long hours.

Wirawan has gained experience over the passing of the years, but doesn't consider himself to be a success – yet. He has high hopes that his collaboration with Novica will bring him closer to success.
