"These days I get up at night and sit quietly, letting new ideas come to mind, one after the other. I haven't stopped creating, I'm always searching."
"Hi, I'm Carlos Enrique González Elera and I was born in Lima on August 19, 1953. My father was my guide in the world of art. He was a jeweler and worked at his craft day and night. I was curious about it but didn't really give it much attention. As an adult, I'd go to the mountains to trade scales for grams of gold. And this is how I became enthused about jewelry. One day, I stayed watching my father and he suggested I pay close attention to what he was doing. In this way, I began to learn each detail of every piece. I never attended workshops or courses, as my father was my teacher, although he never gave me a formal class. I learned myself by observing, and never let a single detail get past me.
"These days I get up at night and sit quietly, letting new ideas come to mind, one after the other. I haven't stopped creating, I'm always searching. My friends always ask me how to make something and I'm not selfish with my skills. I love to teach what I know and pass on this knowledge. We are all a source of life. I love to make things that are modern and to generate new things. Just from looking at the trees I get an image and an idea to create. And so I go through life looking at all that is lovely.
"I've dedicated myself to this art for more than 25 years. The pleasure I get from my work is what motivates me to share the beautiful things in life.
"My greatest challenge has been to get ahead on this difficult path and to face it with all I've got. I hope all of you like my designs. I offer them with all my heart, with love in each and every one."
I just received the ""Harmony"" earrings made of bezel set serpentine and top with a sodalite cylindrical bead in sterling silver. It is even better in person and just absolutely stunning for such a simple design. I love these earrings. I make earrings myself, but I was drawn to these earrings on the website. I am so glad I bought them. I especially love the way Mr. Gonzalez ""gift wrapped"" the earrings, which made you feel like you were getting something really special. Bravo, Mr. Gonzalez.

I helped my mother in law buy her first Novica piece recently and she chose your ring Lagoon. It arrived very promptly and she enjoyed unwrapping it and loved the postcard as she has travelled to Peru before. She wears your ring often and says I Love It ! every time. I admire your jewelry very much also. Thank You for your beautiful jewelry Carlos and thank you Novica for creating such an enjoyable experience.
I have recently purchased the Rutile Cuff bracelet - it arrived very quickly and the quality of the piece is very good - everyone who ahs seen it really thinks it's something special - thanks!
Beautifully made jewelry. I have purchased several amazonite pieces. The color of the stones are stunning and well as the sterling silver work. Very unique pieces. That's what I enjoy having pieces that are special and unique. Thank you Carlos Gonzalez

Carlos, thank-you for your beautiful necklace Silver Tendrils. The intricacy of the design is stunning, showing great skill in both jewelry designing and silverworking. And the amazonite cabochons are lovely, reminding me of glacial mountain lakes. I look forward to seeing more of your work! Best wishes, Kathleen Berthiaume, Victoria, BC, Canada

FINDING YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.
BUST / CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.
Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.
Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.
Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.
Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.
Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.
Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.
