Sunita

"Hi. My name is Sunita and I was born on August 17, 1968 in the city of Jaipur. Being brought up in a joint family was a great fun. We got to be around lots of cousins, aunts and uncles. Besides the fun, we were taught the values of family tradition, customs, love, respect and all the qualities needed for a complete person. I remember as a child, I fancied the intricate and sophisticated jewelry used by my mother and aunts, and I'd try it on myself.

"Besides my interest in jewelry, I wanted to become a chartered accountant, however I could not complete my course. But this did not bother me.

"After my marriage in 1990, I decided to revive my dream to design jewelry. My husband, who is already an exporter, inspired and motivated me. I took a course in jewelry designing -- I feel that it is more important in this field to be creative and artistic, rather than just knowing the subject.

"I have started to exhibit my designs on a very small scale. My jewelry is mostly traditional with some contemporary touches, which I am sure customers will find interesting.

"I am really proud to work with Novica."
