The Bali Necklace
The distinctive art of Bali has its origins in Javanese-Hindu tradition. The island became an artist enclave in the 1920s. The town of Celuk is renowned for its gold and silver jewelry, and legend tells how the art of silverwork was taught to local families by the gods.
