"Making jewelry is for me a most pleasurable activity. Brazilian gemstones have a special coloring - they have a more vivacious look compared to other gems. The result is a unique piece that will adorn a woman who believes in herself.

"I began crafting bijou jewelry towards the end of the 70's – at the time I mainly made earrings and embroidered sandals with beads. Today I mainly make bracelets and necklaces.

"It's interesting how we create the habit of being an artisan. Many times, while I'm asleep, I get an idea on how to improve the combination of the different elements in a design. I immediately get out of bed and make some notes to make sure the idea doesn't escape me. Combining metals, stones and beads is an aesthetic exercise in which I search for harmony and equilibrium."
