Novica is proud to present our gallery of beaded necklaces and chokers -- a collection that ranges from tribal and ethnic styles, to modern vanguard. Beads are crafted from glass, cast of silver or carved from wood and coconut shell, as well as gemstones. In West Africa, Solo Vida hopes to one day soon have the facilities to craft her own beads. For now, she teaches the art of combining bead colors and textures in the creation of beaded necklace designs. In Mexico, when Huichol artist Higinio Hernandez strings a colorful beaded necklace or bracelet jewelry, he makes sure to include the jicurĂ flower. It is believed to enable the shaman to see and converse with the gods. Regarded as sacred, jicurĂ or peyote flower is always featured in Higinio's masks too. Having migrated from China to Thailand, Laddawan's designs are rich in colorful artistry. Her beaded bracelets are inspired by nature and are intended to accessorize with feminine elegance. Her original collections have caught the eye of Princess Srirath, the Crown Prince's consort.
