"I'm Fanny Aguirre. I was born in Lima on July 14, 1966. From the time I was a little girl I felt a strong inclination toward art – especially music. But I put these feelings aside and chose law as my major. I've been an attorney since 1994 and my profession has brought me much satisfaction. However I always felt there was something missing for me. In 2003, I decided to listen to that inner voice and do what I'd always loved – singing, which is a form of expression and a way of celebrating life for me.
"As a part of my art, in 2005 I became interested in the importance of precious stones, not only for their esthetic value but also for their energy. I began to observe the work of artisans and later started creating my own jewelry. When I showed my designs to my friends, I became aware that I felt a profound joy to know that each piece could make its wearer happy. When I finish a piece, I feel I have created something that expresses a part of me.
"Something I've experimented with when I prepare a piece for someone is that in some way I can intuit what type of stone or design they will like. Each piece has something of me in it and each is crafted with the certainty that it is for someone special who will appreciate it and wear it.
"I know that there is still much to learn and I continue to study in order to perfect my technique day by day.
"I try to transmit a sense of nature and the benefit of gemstones in all their intensity."
