"I was born in Lima on June 30, 1979. I became involved in art when I sold jewelry for a company that paid little attention to me. I was only 22, with a baby, and all I wanted was to get ahead. I wasted no time and mobilized myself to visit every district of Lima with the agility of a gazelle. And I sold well.

"Eventually while working there, I began to create and wear my own designs, and these were a wonderful source of inspiration. When I'd visit clients selling the company's jewelry, they looked more at the designs I was wearing and they'd often ask me to take them off and sell them. But one day the company owner fired me because he said I was too efficient.

"I was discouraged and called my clients to say goodbye. I was amazed when they asked me to stay, to set up my own workshop so that I could continue letting my imagination create beautiful jewelry.

"Thanks to that day, I found the courage to ask my father for loan. He offered me his life savings and I accepted them with the promise that I'd return every penny. And without wasting any time, I organized everything.

"My jewelry the result of listening to the people who wear them. They have an idea in mind and just hearing their description gives life to a design.

"For me, my art is the best of all arts, as I give reality to jewelry. I've been doing this since 2002 and my inspiration is women. They are my best friends and harshest critics. I try to transmit beauty, something unique, something others will look at when you're wearing it. Creating new designs day by day has been my greatest challenge."
