Raymi Vaderrama

Lima-born Raymi Vaderrama says her parents were her greatest artistic influence. "They were always busy creating things in leather, so I've spent my whole life around artisans," she recalls.

"In college, I majored in publicity and worked in that field for a while after graduation. But my destiny was to work with my hands. I always felt this and took a number of artistic courses and attended workshops." Today Vaderrama is a well-known jeweler and her designs are filled with joy, just like her name ("Raymi" means "Fiesta" in Quechua).

"I've dedicated my time to handicrafts since 1999, and specialized exclusively in jewelry since 2002," she says. "Through my designs, I aim to transmit the beauty, fashion and exclusivity that every woman deserves." The artist has exhibited her work in numerous venues.

"My greatest challenge has been to combine my roles as wife and mother with the constant need to create new designs in the world of jewelry. You'll find that my jewelry designs are very original and crafted with much love!"
