"I was born in Salvador-Bahia, studied Fine Arts at Bahia's Federal University, and Industrial Design at Rio de Janeiro's University. I began my artistic career in painting, I worked in printing and hand-painted textiles for fashion and décor.
"When I began to study product industrial design in 2001, I got interested in jewelry design and studied silversmithing at the Mourão Studio, design and perspective with Flávia Gomez, wax modeling with professor João Carlos and enameling with professor Carmem Lombarde. Now I have my own studio were I design and create my own pieces.
"My creations are conceived from observing everyday life, the forms and colors of everything that is a part of our lives. I am a keen observer, and sometimes a simple shape, the detail of an object, or a landscape, inspires me to create a piece of jewelry.
"Since I worked in the fashion industry, my designs follow contemporary trends and the colors of the seasons in Bahia as well as in Africa. They inspire a more ethnic line with colorful gems and simple shapes. I prefer raw stones because from their natural shapes come unique jewelry pieces.
"My jewelry collections are contemporary, featuring simple lines. I research new materials, and I combine them with textures so that every piece I make becomes a work of art.
"I enjoy every step of the creative process, from designing and working with the materials, to the pleasure of seeing a jewelry piece finished."
