Patricia Hernández Reyes was born on 8 May 1970. She recalls that she's always had a passion for all forms of artistic activity, especially painting. As she grew up, her passion became her vocation and she studied Graphic Design at the Instituto Montemar and later at the Instituto Toulousse Lautrec.
Due to her economical situation, she wasn't able to start working in design as soon as she graduated. Instead, she worked in the financial sector even though she longed to return to her artistic roots.
By 2004, Patricia decided to design and craft jewelry pieces as a complementary activity to her day job. "When I began to design jewelry, I was on a personal quest to develop my true vocation," confides Patricia. "I wanted to express what I see every day through colors and shapes.
"One of the greatest challenges I have had to face was in August of 2005, when I decided to quit my full time job and dedicate myself solely to an activity I have always wanted to do, which is to design jewelry. I want to develop an artistic activity in which the only boundary is creativity itself.
"I start by sketching a design on paper, playing with colors and shapes in search for an original model. When I have decided on a design, I turn into a real, tangible jewelry piece with my hands.
"I am happy to see my jewelry will be seen around the world, because I make each piece with love and hope."
